Technical Tour
A technical visit complementing the Conference program will be offered on the morning of Monday June 7.
Participants will visit an interesting NGV site: Atac Roma Tor Unit refuelling station.
Participants will be transferred on natural gas buses and will enjoy refreshments during the visit.
The tour will be bilingual Italian-English and the number of visitors will be limited.
Atac Roma – Tor Pagnotta Unit refuelling station
Every day some 400 NGV buses ply the streets of Rome, of which 237 are refueled and serviced at the Tor Pagnotta station of Atac Roma, the company managing public transportation in the Italian capital.
Drivers of the buses housed at Tor Pagnotta take Atac Roma special course on clean buses.
According to the company, their determination to boost sustainable urban transportation is reflected in their eco-friendly buses fleet in operation around Rome’s historic centre and which constitutes the most advanced worldwide experience in terms of clean public transport: at present, Rome possesses the biggest NGV buses fleet in Europe.
